Flash Fiction Showcase

Do you love a good story? We are delighted to bring you a wheen o’ tales from a selection of top Ayrshire-connected writers. Treat your ears, eyes, and imagination to the flash fiction 100-word stories showcased in this special short film produced by our friends at the Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine.

Love, Ayrshire

Watch and listen as Ayrshire, one of Scotland’s strongest places for storytelling, is put at the heart of selected excerpts from books with a connection to our county. In this film, best-selling authors read from chosen locations, bringing their words to the place which inspired them.

This film, especially produced for this year’s Tidelines Book Festival by our friends at the Harbour Arts Centre, features work by the following authors: our patron, Andrew O’Hagan; Gordon Brown; Catherine Czerkawska; Hazel Prior (work read by Claire Gray Wilson in location); David Ross; and Michael J. Malone, who introduces the film.
