In his memoir Born in Kyle, writer and broadcaster Billy Kay explores the language, culture, history, folklore and literature of his Ayrshire home. Join us at Wellwood, the home of Irvine Burns Club, to hear Billy read passages from the book in a powerful Scots that is shot through with a sense of belonging… and a sense of humor!
This event will be held at Wellwood Burns Museum. Due to the historic nature of the building there is currently no disabled access to the performance space on the first floor.
